1. Respect by P!nk and Scratch
This is my nomination for ultimate feminist power song. A lot of Pink's music could fall under this category, but this song pops for some reason.
2. Hit the Floor by Linkin Park
My nomination for best work-out song. It is aggressive, but a steady slow beat that slowly builds, so its easy to pace your running or cycling to it. It also feels very empowering, like you're telling the world you don't care what they think of you.
3. The Light at the End by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori
This is actually one song out of a whole CD. It is the Halo 3:ODST soundtrack and it is amazing. It doesn't play like a video game soundtrack at all and is actually quite amazing. Anyways, this is my nomination for relaxing and just listening to a good piano/saxophone combination.
4. Moondance by Micheal Buble
My nomination for best swing song. I love to try and dance to this song, even though I can't dance at all. Its also a fun song to sing along to. So I guess this one is a combination...best song to attempt to dance/sing.
5. 42 by Coldplay
This is an amazing song. Its great for being melancholy and mopey. If you want a song with deep lyrics, this is your best bet in this category. It's thought provoking and moody and a great song overall. Nominated for best mopey song.
