Interview Two Seniors

I interviewed my friend Josh Howler. He's graduating from Fresno State in May of 2010 with a degree in forensic science with an emphasis in chemistry. His advice for me was to basically stay on top of things. He told me stories about how he procrastinated and failed one of his classes, which ended up setting him back another year. He also told me to try and research teachers on ratemyprofessor to get an idea of their personalities and the type of work I should expect from them. He said it was a very handy tool that will allow me to plan my semester accordingly.

The second senior I interviewed was my other friend Katie Westler. She's graduating from Gavilan Community College in Gilroy with a degree in sociology and is already employed as a social worker. She gave me much of the same advice as Josh, but also told me not to just focus on school. She told me to get out and enjoy being at a state college. She told me to try and get into the Greek system or maybe join some clubs on campus. She told me to get out and enjoy living in the city and get involved in the school here.

I think they both have very valid advice. And I obviously need to work on the procrastination part of it. I will follow their advice throughout my years here and hopefully have a more fulfilling time here.
